I’ve spoken at events across the UK, including Battle of Ideas, Being a Man Festival at The Southbank, International Women’s Day events, Women in Business, Women’s Institute, medical conferences and more.

I have developed a popular and successful talk about the Bare Reality series and body image for schools for years 11 - 13.

Please contact me to discuss speaking at your event or school.

Laura Speaking at Being a Man Festival at The Southbank
Laura’s delivery of such a sensitive topic perfectly hit the spot with both the girl and boy group. With the boys, she immediately put them at ease by breaking the ice, allowing them freedom of speech and total confidence in expressing their views whilst at the same time not being judged by their views. She challenged them persuasively to expand on their thoughts and to see the images from new angles, managing to encourage development of their empathy skills whilst also listening to each other’s opinions. The low threat yet high challenge atmosphere totally worked, enabling the lads to open up in a safe, secure and comfortable setting. They left the talk feeling proud and extremely confident in spreading the word about ladies’ boobs being way more than just objects!
— Mrs Helen Keevil, Teacher and PSD, Epsom College
I invited Laura to speak at HMP Whitemoor’s Fens Unit, because I was convinced that the themes of bodily shame that run throughout Laura’s work would speak to the men whose lives and attitudes to themselves are permeated with shame. Laura is a strong and candid speaker, able to facilitate explicit conversation of a sensitive subject. The men engaged brilliantly with her and several commented how “ballsy” it was to come and discuss in a high secure prison. I recommend her as a speaker and her films are essential viewing.
— Naomi Murphy, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, Fens Unit, HMP Whitemoor
Absolutely superb. Highlight of the whole conference.
